We made it to Friday! How happy are we about that? I’m THRILLED! I’m betting that I’m not the only one too. Today is light on celebrations, which is fine by me. Yesterday my heart was heavy, so by the time I started this post, it was with relief that I found that we have it easy today . . . going into the weekend should be relaxing anyway, right?
Card Reading Day – How often have you gone to the store to look for a card and read them one after another, giggling through some, shaking your head at others. Today is a fun day because it’s set aside to read cards . . . no more and no less. Why? I have no idea, but I am betting this was set up by some sort of card company, wouldn’t you think? Maybe while you’re at it you can pick up a few for upcoming birthdays and holidays. Hmmm . . . nice thought!
This Day In History –
1972 – Richard Nixon becomes the first U.S. President to visit China.
Food Celebration of the Day –
National Sticky Bun Day – Buttery and streaked with cinnamon, homemade sticky buns are in a class all their own. No need to hit the mall to enjoy their gooey goodness — make some at home.
Have a wonderful Friday. Please, keep the Ukrainian people in your prayers, and pray for our own nation while you’re at it. God Bless You and I’ll see you tomorrow.
