Happy New Year – What’s In Store For Us In January?

Jan 1st

Happy New Year!  I can’t believe last year whipped by so quickly, and the new one is here already.  Of course, it could feel a little unreal because I tend to ring in the new year sound asleep.  Why you ask?  Well, I figure staying up until all hours was something I did when I was younger, when my kids were younger and bouncing off the walls jacked up on soda, chips and other various and sundry forms of junk food.  Now?  Well, the New Year is going to arrive, whether I’m sound asleep or wide awake.  It can quietly arrive while I get my rest and I’ll have lower odds of waking up with a headache.

So this year I am going to do the usual celebrations, there are always new ones, or ways I can research the history more thoroughly, but I am also going to add more tutorials as the mood strikes, and I may throw in my opinion pieces more often.  In this world where people of differing views than mine just throw out their nonsense far and wide, I feel it is important to also share what I consider to be a sane, patriotic and “normal” point of view.  If you don’t agree with me, that’s OK.  Our military members fought and died so you too could exercise your 1st amendment rights.  Just don’t get your panties in a twist because I am doing so as well.

Here is what we have coming up in 2014 for January!   I’ll try to put a little more emphasis on some of the Monthlies that have largely been ignored up until now . . . as time allows.  I’m telling you, there are NEVER enough hours in the day!
